About Sally Ride
Sally Ride was an American astronaut and physicist. One of the first six women ever to be selected into the NASA space program, she became the first American woman in space when she flew on the Challenger shuttle on June 18, 1983. She dedicated her life to being a champion for science education and a role model for generations of women and girls to follow in her path.
