About Ida B. Wells
Ida B. Wells was an African-American investigative journalist, educator, and an early leader in the civil rights movement who led an anti-lynching crusade in the United States in the 1890s. She went on to establish several civil rights organizations and became integral in groups striving for African American justice. She was also a passionate advocate for women’s rights and suffrage.
