10 Kid-Approved Books To Check Out For Women’s History Month Curated By Madison’s Magical Library

The Women's History Month celebrations continue! In fact, you could say we celebrate year round here at Piccolina. After all, lifting up Trailblazing women in history is kind of our thing. This week we're thrilled to partner with Madison's Magical Library to bring you 10 kid-approved books to read this month with your little ones.

In the wake of this past summer's rocky political climate, 8 year old Madison Franklin wanted to do something positive and set out to create her own Diversity Library right at home in New Jersey. She's collected hundreds of books and is sharing the love with her community. She even has a "lending library" outside of her home for others to share and borrow books, and has held events like socially distant readings in her backyard. Her vision is to create a library full of books with characters of different races, ethnicities, religions, abilities, and more. That's something we can get behind!

We invited Madison to share some of her favorite picks from her collection to bring you some kid-approved books for Women's History Month, featuring RBG, Malala, and more! Check out her list below and be sure to follow along her journey on Instagram at @madison.in.the.city!

Do you know any Trailblazing kids in your community? Give them a shout out in the comments below!
