Meet Mal Fisher
Mal Fisher is a designer and illustrator from Sheffield, UK. His history of the creative world spans 20 years from packaging design, to corporate design, to UX design. But, the one thing that always stitched these interests together was his love of illustration...
Mainly known for drawing people, plants and places, Mal's work often combines the three. He focuses on telling small stories of how people can find happiness and contentment in their everyday lives. A large part of his work is about representing different types of people that aren't usually depicted in illustration: People in different types of relationships, those who break gender norms, and all body shapes and sizes. Mal's work has been featured in magazines, on book covers and t-shirts, as well as posters and pins.
Mal loves creating stories and drawings of life around him, or of his little family in Sheffield, but when he isn't drawing or creating, he spends a lot of time with his two young sons, William and Max. Him and his partner also love going to restaurants, galleries and travelling the globe (when it's safe to do so!).
